Audible: Free audiobooks for students - guide from Mrs Guy! Whilst schools are closed, Audible is giving pupils free access to a collection of stories (audio books). All stories are free to stream on your desktop, laptop, phone or tablet: How to access Audible audiobooks: Step 1: Type the following into your browser: https://ift.tt/2WHqonk Step 2: Click on the orange box at the bottom of the page: ‘Start listening’. Step 3: At the top left of the new page you will see ‘Discover’. To the right of this, there are sections to choose from. All students should click on ‘Tween’, ‘Teen’ or ‘Literary Classics’ for relevant books (although the ‘Tween’ section’ is aimed more at KS3 students). Step 4: Click on the picture of any book that you are interested in and you will be directed to a new page with a synopsis (a small piece of writing that tells you about the book) and some reviews. Step 5: If you like the sound of the book, click on the orange box next to the picture of the book: ‘Start listening’. Step 5 (alternative): If you don’t want to read the book that you’ve clicked on, click ‘Back’ at the top left hand side of the page and follow steps 3-5 again until you find a book that is right for you! How to access one of the recommended reads below: Follow Step 1 from original instructions and then simply type the title of the book you wish to read in the top left hand part of the page: ‘Search for a great title’ and then follow step 5.
