Neatherd's World Book Week was a resounding success. The whole school community was reminded about the power of reading. Authors came and visited, Harry Potter World was visited, assemblies were held, writing workshops were taught, books were swapped, literary-themed cakes baked (and eaten), book-related costumes were worn and above all, everyone read, in silence, together, every day. Hats off to Mrs Hunt and especially our fantastic librarian Mrs Gill, who put in months of planning and organisation. She is pictured here with our Patron of Reading, author Alex Scarrow, whose support is funded by many of the activities this week and across the year. The day ended as it had done all week, with the enjoyment of reading.
