Neatherd High School: Y11 Leavers' Day Information - from Mrs Jacobs: Dear Year 11 students. Arrangements for Year 11 Celebration afternoon – Friday 27th May On the afternoon of Friday the 27th May, we have planned a nice afternoon to celebrate the end of the half term. The morning and lunchtime will be as normal, according to your individualised timetables, however, to mark this special day, we would like to suggest that you come in to school wearing smart non-uniform clothes, instead of the usual school uniform. After lunch (and hopefully we will have a nice sunny day), you will need to register with your Head of House on the school field, and will be off timetable for the afternoon. After a short presentation event you can collect your Leaver's Hoody, Year 11 photo and Year book, if you have ordered these, and the rest of the afternoon will be spent at your leisure with your friends. There will be an ice cream van on site for students to buy ice creams if you would like one, though drinks and sweets (!) will be free of charge. We will also have activities set up for those that would like to be a bit more active and choose to take part. You will have noticed that on the revision timetable it also says ‘leavers event’ on the 16th June, at 2.30. This session is off timetable, as this will be the opportunity for you to get shirts signed (as tradition dictates) and mingle as a group for one last time. On this occasion you are able to leave school from 3pm onwards assuming you are able to get transport home at this time. Can I also mention that all of your text books need to be returned please, and if you have any school uniform that will no longer be of any use to you, we would very much like to have it – so think of us before it goes in the bin!
