Pupils from Dereham Neatherd High School get a buzz for reading Every Y7 student at Dereham Neatherd High School has received free books as part of Book Trust’s annual initiative to encourage reading for fun. The books were funded from the school’s own library fund. There was something to suit every taste as the students chose from a variety of 17 fiction, non-fiction and poetry titles. ‘Our students were delighted to receive their books, and there’s been lots of excited conversations about the titles they have chosen. Literacy is very important at Neatherd so we take every opportunity to encourage reading for pleasure”, says Lorraine Gill, Librarian at Neatherd.
