Dereham Neatherd High School - Homework

Here at Neatherd we know that children who spend time on homework show higher levels of academic achievement, as homework enables children to reinforce, practice and apply the skills learnt in class, in order to build knowledge of the different subjects. Key Stage 3 students use their Core Knowledge Booklets to revise and build knowledge. Students record their learning (self-quizzing) in their red homework exercise books, completing each of their subjects once a week. Reading is now part of KS3 homework and will be monitored by the English department. Please use the attached document to fully understand KS3 homework. It sets out the expectations and gives information about the schedule, rewards, sanctions and new Above and Beyond tasks. KS3 Homework starts this Thursday (Year 9) or Friday (Years 7 & 8) and will be checked by form tutors for the first time a week later on Thursday 19th Sept (Year 9) or Friday 20th Sept (Years 7 & 8). Thanks for your support of homework here at Neatherd High School. Mr Sinclair Assistant Head Teacher https://ift.tt/2A8ayFY
