Neatherd High School: To all of our new year sevens coming to Neatherd tomorrow for a week of induction, welcome, and don't worry! All of our students have been in the same position as you, some of them four years ago! It's okay to feel nervous, this is a big change, and we are all looking forward to making you feel right at home in our lovely school. We have teams of student leaders, sports leaders, prefects, mentors and buddies all looking out for you this week. You will enjoy some lessons in many different subjects and meet a great set of new teachers. Wear your primary school uniform with pride this week, bring some bottled water, you are allowed to drink water in lessons. If you have a phone, please keep it switched off and packed away for the day, we don't allow pupils to use them during school hours....we prefer that you talk to each other instead! We have hot snacks at break time, like mini pizzas, bacon rolls, they cost about a pound. Hot dinners are served, along with cold meals and snacks, between 12:30 and 1:20, but we'll serve you all first this week! A hot meal costs £1.80, or £2.30 with a pudding. Our food is amazing and cooked fresh here in our own kitchen. On Tuesday we have sports festival, but we'll tell you all about that tomorrow.
