On Thursday 15 July the School Nutrition Action Group (SNAG) ventured out to the North Norfolk Coast to pay a visit to Wiveton Hall and Farm. Here, they enjoyed a personal tour from ‘Normal for Norfolk’s’ Desmond MacCarthy (BBC2) around Wiveton Hall to see first-hand how a farm can be diversified and make money in a number of different ways. They also enjoyed a delicious lunch consisting of one of the Café’s famous salad bowls and some fresh strawberries, meringue and cream- all from the farm. It was a beautiful sunny day and the pupils and staff really enjoyed learning about this little gem. We would really recommend that you pay a visit sometime this summer, but make sure you book! It was extremely busy, even today. Thank you to Mrs Gill for driving the mini bus so superbly and to Mrs Patterson. I think they all learnt a lot and had a great day! Miss Powell-Bowns
