Good morning and welcome back to all of our pupils and families. First two periods will be in forms. New year 7s will go straight to the Sports Hall - just ask anyone if you can't remember where that is! You'll get your timetables and planners this morning. For the first few days your class teachers will come and pick you up from the Sports Hall and take you to your classrooms. At break and lunch we have a reserved area for year 7s - behind the Sports Hall and Link students - the old Y7 courtyard. The field will be open until the ground gets too soft later in the season. Parents please be aware that dropping your Little Cherubs off in the car park can cause congestion on the main road, as the buses also drop off there. It's often easier to park up safely a little further away and letting them walk the rest of the way to school. Enjoy your day!

Bus news: we have spoken to Konnect and Freestones – all running as normal with normal pick up times. They do however expect delays getting to school because of first day back traffic. First buses have put this on their website; Due to the closure of Neatherd Road in Dereham, Excel buses are being diverted. Buses are now using the A47 Dereham by-pass in both directions. Unfortunately this means that we cannot call at stops on Norwich Road in Dereham in either direction. This is because Dereham town centre is subject to significant delays when a road is closed so please check this website for updates before you travel. Buses will still call at the Market Place in both directions so please catch the bus there if you can.

Neatherd Parent Portal/App

School re-opens for the children on Thursday, normal time 8:45. Please remember water bottles and sun cream. It is winter uniform - blazers, shirts and ties. Tailored shorts are part of our uniform too. Pupils will be allowed to remove blazers in classrooms when instructed by the teachers. Pupils will NOT require their PE kit for the first PE lesson, which will be about their options and requirements for the year. School meals are £2.30 for main course and dessert, or £1.80 for just main meal. All payments are via Parent Pay and use the cashless system. Contact office@neatherd.org if you need to be set up with Parent Pay. This is not connected to the Parent App which shows timetables, attendance, behaviour events etc. Please visit https://ift.tt/2yBipdf to read on how to access the app. If you already have a log in to the older Parent Portal system, you will need to set up an App account. Due to GDPR, the App log-in information is controlled by the users, not the school, so follow the instructions if you forget your details. New Year 7 pupils are NOT on the school database until Thursday, so do not panic if your Little Cherub is not on the App just yet! If you have any questions, please post them here to help others.
