Are You Getting It

As part of the Personal, Social, Health and Economic (PSHE) education curriculum for years 9, 10, and 11, Dereham Neatherd High School is committed to cover the subjects of Relationships and Sexual Health. An integral part of this is highlighting the risks of Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs) as well as the promotion of, young people’s rights and safer sex for when young people are ready and chose to have a sexual relationship. The school has invited a trained member of staff working at Dereham Children’s Centre to come into the school and address the year 9 assembly on Monday 23 April to make students aware of a scheme backed by Norfolk County Council’s Public Health and the local NHS; and run locally through Dereham Children’s Centre, called C-Card. To find out more about the C-Card scheme, we would encourage you to visit the local website for young people at www.areyougettingit.com
